Summer is a relaxing time of year, with the long awaited heat and sun not to mention the anticipated visits to the lake. Don't forget to take care of yourself with a regular scheduled massage therapy treatment. Although it is a more relaxing time of year injuries still occur while we are taking part in some of our favorite outdoor activities like biking, gardening and hiking. If you feel an injury has occurred, don't wait too long before addressing it, a small problem can become bigger if left unattended. Have a safe and happy summer!
It has been the policy of Danette Bencharski Massage Therapy to charge $20.00 for any and all missed appointments unless other arrangements have been made. This is a reminder to please try to give 24 hours notice prior to cancelling an appointment to allow me the opportunity to fill the appointment.
I have been to several massage Therapist and Danette is without a doubt the best.

I have seen several massage therapists in the past and without a doubt, Danette is simply the best. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and thorough in her approach to treatment, and above all, she is dedicated to the well being of her patients. She has helped me with several conditions including severe headaches, jaw pain due to teeth grinding, as well as lower back pain. Massage therapy with Danette has significantly improved my overall well being and helped me to return to a regular exercise routine free from injury and muscle pain.

Early on the first Monday of February 2009 I got out of bed to prepare for the work week and experienced an episode of severe vertigo. I could not move without experiencing extreme dizziness and accompanying nausea. My wife drove me to the doctor who ruled out certain causes but could not determine the reason for my problem. Therefore medication was prescribed to lessen the effects of the dizziness and nausea and I was told to wait and see what happened over the next few weeks. I was unable to work as laying or sitting very still without moving my eyes was the only relief I could get. Since the medication was not addressing the root cause I decided to take a holistic approach.
My wife had been to a massage therapist in January and she was very satisfied with her massage and the therapists manner so I made an appointment. During the following two weeks I had two massages and the results were incredible. I still had some unease if I got over tired however they were so minor I was able to return to work within three weeks. I went from incapacitated to almost full recovery without the contiued use of medication. Danette had worked on my upper back, shoulders, neck, face and inside my mouth. She worked what I considered magic as I was feeling better than I had before the vertigo episode. As I have had back, shoulder, knee, elbow and hand pain for years, I decided to continue seeing Danette. I feel much better overall due to these sessions and I will continue as part of my wellness.
Both my wife and I are very grateful for the improvement to our well being from the work Danette has done. She is well educated, very conscientious, has great endurance (the quality of the massage does not change) is empathetic, and has a great sense of humor. She takes the time to ask questions to ensure she understands the issues and needs and she ensures you are comfortable with the treatment. I completely and sincerely recommend Danette Bencharski as an excellent health care provider. Both my wife and I appreciate what she has done for us.

After experiencing Tinnitus (constant ringing in the ears) for the last 10-15 years and with the increasing volume of the ringing in my ears, I started to seek out alternative ways to increase my comfort level and to decrease the intense ringing sound.
A cranial massage was suggested to me by Danette at one of my regular visits. At my next appointment I received a cranial massage. I noticed in the evening after the massage, that there was a slight decrease and change in the tone of the ringing. With follow-up treatments from Danette, I am sure that these cranial massages will hopefully give me more relief in the future.
